• 5/12/2025   Smriti Shrestha received the Delores and Jerry Etter Graduate Research Scholarship, whish was established to help students while encouraging research useful to the Tallgrass Prairie.

• 5/9/2025    Wenqi Liu and Adeyinka Olusanya attended the 2025 Graduate Commencement, accompanied by Dr. Yuting Zhou. 

• 4/22/2025   Sadril Khan received 'The Robert E. Norris Memorial Scholarship' by the Department of Geography, Oklahoma State University for conference travel in the year of 2025-2026. 

• 4/22/2025   Wenqi Liu received the 2024–2025 Susan Shaull Award for Excellence in Teaching.

• 4/22/2025   Smriti Shrestha received the Jerry Croft and Family Award in the Teaching of Geography, which recognizes students with a demonstrated interest in geographic education. She also received the Robert E. Norris Memorial Scholarship Conference Travel Award, which supports graduate students in presenting original, student-led research at academic conferences.

• ​4/16/2025    Dr. Yuting Zhou received the AmericaView Outstanding Service Award in recognition and acknowledgment of his dedication to AmericaView and Empowering Earth Observation Education.

• 4/16/2025    Adeyinka Olusanya received the highly competitive IALE–North America Student Travel Award and to present his research on how hydraulic fracturing of oil and gas wells is impacting groundwater storage in the Southern Great Plains of the U.S. More details in the link.
